Experts Need Your Guidance I want to know what are the reasons when we are getting impressions and no clicks? Currently, I’m running a call-only ad and getting 1000s of impressions but there are only few clicks and no calls. Like 16 clicks 15k impressions and showing only 3 calls. Where client saying his agent didn’t get any call.

Also, I would check your top and abs top impression %. If your ads are to low on the SERP page, the majority of the users never make it to your ad, which would also result in a lot of impressions but very few clicks.

HI! Are you targeting the right location? Are your ads clickable? Does your number work all the time? Are you trying search and responsive ads with call extensions as well? Maybe your positioning should improve so your ads can get more clicks and calls.

1000s of impressions but few clicks means you have a low ctr, if you have low ctr smth must be going wrong with your campaign structure (keywords, groups, negative keywords, ads) I'm trying to help you without seeing any real data so don't misunderstand my advice. If everything is ok on your campaign than you are ok. if I were you I would try search ads and responsive ads with call extensions (and other extensions too) always if you have a proper landing page.

A lot of issues here. Firstly, call only ads typically get less clicks than expanded text ads. If you are getting a lot of impressions and no clicks, you will want to check your search terms and make sure they match the intent of the traffic that you want. Exclude any searches that do not. Also, 16 clicks and only 3 calls seems also to point to bad traffic, as our call only campaigns typically end up with 50-75% of the clicks resulting in calls. Thirdly, if you are tracking conversions, this allows Google to use a forwarding number if they wish. We have seen in the past that the forwarding numbers can actually route the call to someone other than your client. Many missed calls are also a sign of this.

If you had Impressions but no clicks here the reasons:1. Cpc to low 2. Your device bid adjustment for mobile will be low 3. Your ads or keywords is not performing

They are call only ads, so there shouldn't be device bid adjustments at all. I agree that his CPC could be too low. Keywords seem to be generating if there are 1000's of impressions.

There are to sections on google ads panel one is devices second is advanced bid settings/calls, increase ıt %10, %50

@estreat yes I understand and the bids are already above than average bid. Also campaign is targeting mobile users so I have already increased 20% mobile.

How does your ad copy compare to your competitors? Do they have an offer that may draw clicks away from your ad?
by (1.3k points)
@penicillin No no this isn’t a problem I have checked that as well.

Can you turn off call tracking and conversions and hook up a call tracker (we use Call Rail). Also, check the top and abs top impression %. Try to figure out where your ads are appearing on the SERP.
by (1.3k points)
@penicillin on SERP ads are on top 1st position on the 1st page. And yes conversation has now been changed with account level.

@uniflorous9727 Then it sounds like an ad copy problem or the wrong audience. Check your search terms and test ad copy.

@penicillin you know what I’m thinking . Probably sales agents have their targets to meet. Therefore, they lying to the client. So now I have to use alternate way in order to track calls.
