We sell to HVAC contractors, among others and many are working harder.
by (2.4k points)
Is that because business is down so they have to hustle more? or business is up and they''re just working more? I've heard conflicting things about home contracting
by (540 points)
@definiens35 you have heard correct. 1/2 basically dead. Other half working way harder.

My ecomm is dead. Not a dropshipper. A clothing supplier for Oktoberfest events. Loads of event cancellations.
by (2.8k points)
@needle fair enough - anything related to events or travel is going to get hit hard.
by (560 points)
@hillary3 yup.
by (380 points)
@hillary3 is right I'd say a good 60 - 70% of ecom is still doing well. Keep in mind Grocery still falls under this banner. Obviously anything directly affected by bans or shut downs is not doing well

What you think about private lenders ?
by (560 points)
@jaquelynjaquenetta I think it would be a scary time to be a private lender. Good deals perhaps but failing ppl through no fault of your own. Private lending might truly be asset acquisition right now.
by (1.6k points)
@needle i have client right now that wants to do advertise his private lending firm, i cant seem to see the bar trend of keywords (volume) in keyword plannner , is this gone?
by (560 points)
@jaquelynjaquenetta I've no idea my keywords haven't changed for years so I've not looked.

I wouldn't say "unaffected" but HVAC, plumbing and electricians are still operating, getting conversions.
by (2.8k points)
I've heard from some of my clients that they're having trouble actually closing deals because people end up being afraid to let technicians into their homes at this time
by (29.2k points)
@hillary3 A lot of our clients have requested changes to the ad copy reflecting that their techs are following every safety precaution. People are much less afraid when their AC stops working or their water heater goes up.
by (210 points)
They are affected but less I have plumbers and electricians there getting calls but way way less

Legal / Lawyers are still getting business
by (260 points)
@tower not in New York. Courts are closed and no new filings are taking place.
by (230 points)
@torse that’s not true I’m a lawyer some Are still open bankruptcy courts are still open and accepting cases and some family courts too
by (4.6k points)
@torse what about probate law? Tax or real estate law? And, even if there isn't court activity, I'd think you could still do video consultations, and start the ground work for cases that could go active once courts open.
by (260 points)
@lunate8067 I admit I’m not an attorney so I’m just going by what one of my attorney clients told me today. Divorce and family law attorney in Manhattan. Was told courts are closed and active cases are being postponed. Perhaps I misunderstood.
by (230 points)
@torse some courts are doing telephonic headings for family law it depends on the type of matter
by (2k points)
Family law and commercial is currently working for me, getting daily leads. I'm in Canada and they have been considered as essential so I wouldn't know about US. Also, Civil lawyer is getting a lot of hits due to the uncertainty of people keeping their jobs or not. The add-on i did last week, is to update my ads along with my landing page to mention that we do ZOOM conferences, so my lawyers can get some revenue out of those consultations.

Dang I'm tierd of seeing these types of posts. The industries that are doing good right now. Need ZERO HELP. NOTHING YOU ARE GOING TO DO WILL "HELP" THEM. The people who need help are the ones who need to get creative. Stop being weak and trying to pick easy fruit. Go work and provide value to people who actually need help.

Pawnshops. Win win situation. Win all the time.
by (300 points)
@hopper656 I gotta disagree with u sorry, I work in a pawn shop and don’t get me wrong we have the odd person coming to pay interest or pick up a loan but it has been so quite, I did 1 loan last Friday, no one is coming into buy items, I don’t think their is anyone not feeling the affects in their business due to the situation & yep the virus will eventually go but people will still have to rebuild financially, the only people this won’t affect financially is the ones on benefits all the time this is just a bonus.

I also seem to notice an uptick in second hand sales/sites in musical instruments. Might also be in other hobby related realms.
by (520 points)
@lichfield the thing is they still win. If the accumulated interest wasn't paid. They will have to keep the item. And sell it during their auction. And if they have better offer with better marketing than other, they'll be flooded with customer during this time. Specially a lot of people are out of work and needs money.

@hopper656 how would u do marketing
