Hi Google Advertising Legends, Starting off with google shopping selling from AU to the USA. Is there a way to know what a good cost per click start bid would be for a product or do you start with $1 and watch how it goes? Hope this makes sense.

If you have large inventory then start with minimum bid as much as possible

Using a purely math approach, you could take the average CTR and conversion rate and the cost per acquisition that you want and determine your desired CPC from there.

Thanks for the advice @penicillin and Aamir. I only do single product campaigns to test products so will try to apply both.
