Hey guys, question about using new audiences in new display campaigns: I just created an audience in Analytics and exported it to Google Ads. I want to use it in a new Display campaign, that targets people who have not finished a specific form on our website. I managed to export to Google Ads, and I can see the audience there. I can apply it to any campaign in my account, SAVE for the newly created display campaign. Any idea what I could be doing wrong here?

HI, I am not sure what is the problem here. In any case, you probably can see the audience in the audience manager. if the list has enough cookies it is eligible to be run as a targeting ( or observation method ). The targeting method has to be applied at the ad group level, and if you decide to add more targeting method ( es. topics or placement) your target will be the intersection between your audience and the other targeting method

Hey! Thanks for your answer! I can see the newly created Audience in the Audience Manager, and I can then try to apply it to a campaign. The problem is that I do not see my new Display campaign in the list of available campaigns, to which I can apply it.

Ah ok, maybe you want to try than the opposite path by adding your audience in the ad group of the campaign

The strange thing is that when I click Audience in the Ad Group, it only shows me Exclusions. With my other Display campaigns, I have the option to add Audiences and Exclusions. Not with this new one. I think I'll reverse engineer this by copying a campaign that -is- functioning and then making adjustments. Not sure what's going on here.

Ah so it must be a smart display campaign in which case you can't pick your own audiences, it will take autonomously data from your audience manager
