Sometimes I got news from a Google guy which offered me help on my account. We are a small company that runs a few campaigns. I don't want to spew on them bad things but the last time they wanted to help me by giving me advices, I lost leads for one month. Could it be by purpose?  Or, is it possible that they know something more?

You can listen to them but be careful. Often they have a goal just to spend more budget.

Similar experience with FB reps. Encouraging me to use Reach objective, go for page Likes, go Worldwide, use FB Leads ads, all sorts of things I know from experience will hoover up the loot.

Do not listen to them, and if you do, do your own research before you implement any of their changes.

They don't care about how much money you MAKE. They care about how much money you SPEND. Keep this in mind as you take their advice :)

Some agents do have the knowhow, but I guess you'll have to spend over 1 million USD annual before they spend time on your behalve.
