Are there any type 2 diabetics here? If so do you notice your blood sugar readings are higher?

My husband is and no he is very steady. Do you do the carb addition? He does fruit in the am cheese at lunch and either potatoe or noodle at dinner.

@mon3 just the IPA products. The more carbs the higher I go.

@mon3 She isn’t following the alt plan with the group additions. That is typically used for insulin dependent diabetics.

@sisyphus3673. He has a restricted with either a small apple or berriers in the am salad 2 cups of veggies with a chip and 1 oz cheese for lunch and 8 oz meat 2 cups veggies small potatoe or 3 oz measured uncooked noodles for dinner then a snack of choice before 7. His A1C went from 7. 4 to 5. He has held steady for the most part of 2 years

@footrope. He did it the whole time per our coach. He lost steady and came off alot of meds. It regulated him no more high and lows. That plan just work with his issues so our coach has him stay on it. Everyone is different

@mon3 thx

@mon3 I was not suggesting he not use it. Just clarifying that is not the plan the poster is using.

Occasionally at the start you may see a small increase but that should be limited. Carbs raise blood sugar. We are eating less carbs in the whole day than the Am Diabetes Assoc recommends in one meal (of course their guidelines are ridiculous! )

@footrope yes ridiculous for sure. I am very insulin resistant.
