A great tip is grab a piece of paper and on one side say all the nice things that will or have happen when you stay on it. on the other side write all the bad things you will have happen when you fall off. when you have moments of weakness grab it and read it to help motivate to keep you on track. :)

Not eating too much protein and makes sure to get those fats in!
by (26.9k points)
If your body is craving more protein you may not be taking in the right amount, may i see your current macro and your height and how active are you also?
by (1.5k points)
I’m 5’6 and not all that active now that I lost my job
by (26.9k points)
@hitandrun8784 it does seem your macros are off. change it to manual so you can enter in what your LBM needs please check out vid and let me know if you still need help :) Watch this Macros video and never let an app calculate your macros. Keep it Simple Keep it Keto !
https://youtu.be/x7vv_j0COyo
by (1.5k points)
@logan I watched the video and had kinda a hard time understanding it! I’ll keep trying
by (26.9k points)
So based on your numbers, 63 grams to 73 grams of protein is a good goal. you fat can be 1:1 to 2:1 as needed. carb at 20 and below that is net or total .
by (26.9k points)
Your protein is pretty high i suggest you take them down a bit and try to get strict so your body can get fat adapted, your craving should start to fade then.

I figured I’d have trouble but I’m doing ok now. I was overeating my keto snack. I decided I’d eat when I got hungry but 48 hours went by and no hunger. I went ahead and fixed a salad and put a grilled burger in it. It tasted good so it’s not like I’m forcing myself to eat. I’m just not hungry. I’ve just been eating because it’s time to all this time. I’ve switched to OMAD for now.
by (26.9k points)
Try to avoid the snacking. You want to eat a meal large enough to keep you full 5-6 hours. The reason is that each time we eat, even keto foods, we have an insulin response. While we are producing insulin, fat burning stops or decreases dramatically. We want to burn fat for longer periods of time, hence the longer periods of time between meals. I have compiled some good info here when it comes to snacking, feel free to take a peek and add to discussion if you have questions.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/Dai...5136/
by (880 points)
@logan I never snack between meals and never eat breakfast. I have a Keto Mojo so that helps encourage me to stay in ketosis. I check it just before supper. I was eating too many Keto Bark bars after supper. Back to just one and doing ok. Thought I might have to stop buying them. I’ll check out your link. Thanks!
by (26.9k points)
Careful most of the keto bars are full of junk. make sure to check labels.
by (880 points)
@logan These are from ChocZero. I’ll let you check it out. Lots of fiber. Sweetened with monk fruit. The soluble corn fiber looked ok when I googled it.
by (26.9k points)
Choc zero is a pretty good company, i will say some people have issues with corn fiber cause inflammation so eat with caution, i can't tolerate it at all.
by (880 points)
@logan Ok thanks. I’ve been Keto since March of 2018 and maintaining since June of that year. I’m thinking I discovered ChocZero before Keto and haven’t had any problem other than it’s an expensive habit. I also love Rebel ice cream.
by (26.9k points)
Rebel is great too! i have been Keto for 2 years this month. sound like we started about same time.
by (880 points)
@logan Great! I started March 17 that year. My sister had already lost a bunch on Keto so I got excited and spent a week at her house to learn the ropes. She got me off to a great start and taught me so much. It’s great having each other for support even tho it’s long distance.

@logan . I am printing this out and putting on my refrigerator :)
by (840 points)
I would cook those foods, but my husband and son won't touch any of it if it has to do with veggies.
by (930 points)
@fuhrman my busy body opinion is, if you cook it, they eat it, or they cook for themselves. If you're cooking to better your health, then they should support you, and learn by your example. No reason, though, why you can't add a potato, rice or pasta to their portion. All diets fail without support.
by (840 points)
@hallerson65551 I would say you are right, but I have been doing this for over a year by myself. I am hard and way more strict on myself because I went into the Hospital in 2018 and had Congestive heart failure. This is why I am able to keep myself eating clean. When I went back to the Dr. Last April, my Dr. Told me that I was back to normal, just to try to lose more weight, so if nobody else around me supports me, I know I have faith in myself to keep this up.

@logan I think you can select no substitutions for most places. As for the gym, @bipartisan Rocker has a great free online workout that only requires 15 minutes a day and no equipment. I’ll post a link, if anyone is interested.

Balancing food for myself and for my husband. Also I'm sadly in a weight plateau. I'm only about 10 lbs from where I'd like to be but it's been stuck there. Considering an egg fast to jump start things. Oh and the hair loss (I have PCOS anyway so I always had increased hair loss but of course it increased when I lost 30lbs. Using collagen, biotin, keeping my electrolytes up and upped my protein)
by (26.9k points)

Slim fast is highly process and made in a lab.
by (26.9k points)
Get shakes with egg white protein not whey. Whey is worse than sugar
by (850 points)
@logan I know that but it’s not pizza or lean cuisine. Like I said it’s a temporary solution until our stores fill back up with what I need.
by (26.9k points)
Pizza is about the same as slim fast products. also there is some really crazy ingredients in it that will damage your body . but there are other options. the shake you are doing could cause you to become insulin resistant if you keep taking them too. we know you cant be 100% at this time but that is 0% keto
by (26.9k points)
Also cooking healthy for the whole family is key so it is time to cook and create recipes with them

@hame84 have you considered Speed Keto program? It really helped me
by (870 points)
@krall19566 what is that?
by (10.5k points)
@hame84 Speed Keto is a plan that includes a calendar with meals planned out for 30 days, recipes, shopping guide & a quick start guide. It’s no dairy, no nuts or nut products, no snacking & basically no Keto sweeteners/desserts. Sticks to Keto basics but ultra clean! It’s a very strict plan but if you’re serious about dropping lbs, decreasing inflammation and/or getting through a stall this will work! (It also helps teach those who are new to Keto, how to eat Keto properly for better results). It’s tough but you’ll see serious results pretty quickly! There is also a private group for members. There are different Speed Keto programs to choose from, which can be found at the link: the original Speed Keto program which includes intermittent fasting, a Vegetarian or Vegan Speed Keto program and also Eating Speed Keto, which does not include fasting. There is a one time fee of $39 usd to join the program. The link is www. SpeedKetoSuccess. com

Don’t do that. You are awesome ! The sugar has your body confused. Your brain knows what to do. It becomes in charge, not your craving. When that comes on, go walk around the house, or take a shower, or brush your teeth, or start removing clothes that don’t fit anymore. soon, it will pass. You’ve got this!
