I have a salon at my home. If you want to really give it a go I can Zoom you and walk you through it. Have to order your product 1st.

@franklin bet hair stylists not going to like your comment

@mcroberts45953 hahaha I don’t know why. I figured if she was asking who’s attempting balayage she would have some sort of skill set hahaha my bad. There’s a super simple technique you can do at home. And I’d rather people experiment with balayage than box dye. Who know when this could be over. Just tryin to help. No trying to piss anyone off ‍♀️

A color correction starts at $100/hr. Book an appointment after the Rona! :)

I have appointments available in May once the stay-at-home order is lifted if interested:) www. heatherashleybeauty. com IG: heather ashley beauty

Color correction is usually around double what your normal color cost at the salon. just an FYI

I did my color correction from Ulta and spent over $500.

I'm getting the consensus opinion that I shouldn't try this at home
by (8.4k points)
I would not. I have successfully used demi colors to darken my hair back to my regular color once I am done with a look. and when I was younger I was able to do vibrant colors. but a blonde itself or natural shades I would say is a bad idea because it is more difficult to achieve the shade you want. A professional eye will be able to achieve it (hopefully) and some people even have issues with professionals achieving certain hair colors because some hair simply will not pull or is inconsistent in color (especially if you have had color done before). Just wait it out and go to a professional. I am not a professional nor do I work at a salon, so I have no motivation to really say this other than trying to help you out and say its not the best idea.

I’m a hairstylist with 22 years of experience and even I won’t balayage my own hair!

Don’t do it. Just wait.

DO NOT do it Color corrections usually start at $85-100/hour and color correction will take multiple hours and/sessions. Also, good luck getting in with your stylist anytime soon to do the color correction

My stylist have all been posting this as clients are now messaging them with horror stories! Their hair is so damaged and it’s gonna cost so much to fix! Just wait! Where are we all going? Try putting curls in your hair to mask the outgrowth or wear a cute bun. Save your time, your money and your tears. Wait for your stylist we would love you for it!

Me. I have been ordering from e-salon for 4 years.
by (2.3k points)
@paternal which one?
by (10.6k points)
You sign up for a subscription based on shipment frequency. You post a photo of your hair now and tell them all about it. Post a picture of what you want and describe it well. Then, you get assigned a stylist who will tell you if they believe a slightly different shade would work better but you decide then your custom color is mixed and shipped based on what look you want

From my stylist

@rhizopod Your stylist would not say this if she tried e-salon.
by (420 points)
@rhizopod I seriously don’t care, I’ll pay the $300 and I’m sure they’ll be happy to take it . I got my first grays at 17 and I’m looking about 50 right now.
by (3.1k points)
@alliber594 I’ve resorted to headbands that cover 3-4 inches of outgrowth lol!

Hairstylist here! instead of putting all that energy on your own hair and it may not turn how you want. especially with balayage. mistakes can be made! i would take the time you want to do and do research on a stylist or talk to your stylist about wanting a change. we’re not working right now, and i’m sure a stylist would be thrilled to get somethings in the books with you once this all over and you have something to look forward too!
by (2.3k points)
That sounds quite therapeutic too❤️
by (1.1k points)
@by getting your hair done should be relaxing. it’s something to be enjoyed! not to do yourself that’s no fun!

Lol I did mine myself in like January. There’s tons of YouTube videos you can learn from. Mine was very subtle but gave me some color beings my all brown hair. I went to my hair stylist a few months later and she was actually impressed. Lol
