Question

Since I have the time I'd like to put together a compost bin in the corner of our yard. Can two of the sides be our fence? What are the rules of composting? Tricks and tips? Thanks!

I think if you use your fence, you risk rotting your fence prematurely. I recommend keeping it at least two feet from your fence. I have 3 compost bins - so I have a bit of experience. Just remember, compost is vegan (except eggshells) and you’ll be fine. If you ever get fruit flies, just add newspaper shreds and you’re all set.
