Tailoring by Monica has them for free/donation. She’s at Washington and 7th. There is a bin in the lobby, if it’s empty she is making more continuously and tells you to wait 20 min or less for more

@quinquennial Thank you! We will. I saw she's in need of the elastic bands so I will try and hunt for them in the meantime. Happy Easter and stay safe

@sundae50769 they have been sold out since winter because my friend takes RN nursing program and never found some which she needed some for her own before entering nursing homes.

Masks keep the sick in. but wearing one is still better than not. id put a towel under your door to air lock your apt and open your windows if you share a hallway with the sick person.

@ineluctable493 Whitney a towel under your door?

Covid 19 cannot travel in air so there is no need to put a towel under your door . Now if this person was very close to you and breathing all over you then you can get it that way too Everything you touch in the common area wash your hands or use santizer as quick as possible.

@allsopp just curious where you obtained that information? I read about a study done in a hospital where there were 11 Covid-19 patients. Air quality was tested inside rooms and in hallway and virus was present in both areas so the thought was that it's airborne. I've read this in a few places from medical professionals. Just curious.

@allsopp just read a new bulletin. CDC now says Covid-19 can travel up to 13 feet and shoes are there one thing that is most important to sanitize.

@yann4094 How much is she charging?
by (1.7k points)
@transvestite I think $10 for adult, $8 for kids. They tie like surgical masks and have the thick cotton layers

@yann4094 Thank you! We have been trying to find them everywhere. I have cancer and my daughter is immunocompromised.

If the virus is in the air, it can pass through the cloth mask unless you have an N95. Be vigilant about what your hands touch. Wash your hands right when you enter your apartment. Do you have hand sanitizer you can use when you leave the building if your hands are touching communal doors/handles?

Can the coronavirus disease spread through air? The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air. They quickly fall on floors or surfaces. You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within 1 metre of a person who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth before washing your hands.

Truly, the best thing you can do is wash your hands a lot and keep your distance. Def wear a mask when you leave your home. It's helpful just so you don't touch your mouth and nose. I understand why you are scared, but please stay strong. The feeling of fear actually weakens our immune system, so take precautions, but do your bet you stay calm.

Please do not wear gloves! Use sanitizer and proper handwashing techniques and you will be safe. No one is using or wearing the gloves properly and it'sspreading germs everywhere! Just use a mask. Try your best to relax and don't let fear take over. Stay strong! #wearehereforyou

@leal4242 it’s airborne / aerosol so in a hospital setting the patient could have been on a vent. Sneezing coughing and being on a vent is differ then just the regulars air they are breathing The mask is to protect you from the sneezing coughing spread of the virus And if the patient is aerosol then u need the N95.

@bromley586 you would treat your apartment setting the same as you would if you where going to the grocery store or any public place.

Wearing a cloth mask is intended to protect OTHERS from YOU, in case you are sick and asymptomatic. You can make your own from a bandana or other fabric. Continue same measures - wash hands, avoid touching face, sanitize commonly touched areas in your apartment especially door knobs/light switches. Minimize going out unless necessary. Stay healthy ❤️
