I want to buy my kids a swing set, but, before I do that, I'd like some advice from you moms. What do you like or not like about your swing set? Brands you loved? Hated? Metal? Cedar? Our budget is $1200 which I know isn't a lot when it comes to swing sets but if you have one you liked in that price range I'd like recommendations too!

We have a nice Rainbow play set that we may be looking to part with. If you are interested in going that route, let me know.

@cassiani can you please let me know as well if you decide to sell it? In case @hypnology25426 isn't interested I might be. Thank you.

@product all yours if she’s looking to sell. We can’t pick one up until social distancing is over because we will need help. Aaaand I have to wait for tax return money.

@cassiani if @product passes I’ll be interested

Buy a used Rainbow! There are even companies that will go disassemble, pick up and reassemble for a reasonable fee.

We bought a used Rainbow set. It is the best! Mike's Helping Hands is a company we used to pick up and reassemble at our house.

@dish8 about how much do they charge to disassemble, transport, and reassemble?
by (300 points)
@dull4474 we bought a used set from him directly so I am not sure the exact cost for labor only. He has a facebook page.

We also bought the wood one from Costco, and it was around 1200. We hired a handyman to put it togther though. that's a big job. Costco has the names of assembly companies, but we found our own. It was a very well-made set. We moved, otherwise, we would still have it :)

We have a set from Costco. My husband did a ton of research. Costco was the best quality for the price range we were looking at. It was bought 4 years ago and is in great shape still.

@beaton do you know what brand it is?

We got a wood and it’s annoying not going to lie. It keeps needing to be sanded and then each year you have to paint it with a coat to protect it. We already have pieces needed to be replaced and it’s only been up a year

@militant I think I’m leaning towards a metal one- for that reason.
by (2.6k points)
@hypnology25426 ya I wanted a metal one but the weight limit was smaller for metal so that’s why we did wood. We had a smaller budget too so maybe a more expensive metal would have been the ticket

We bought a rainbow used. This was over nine years ago and replaced a few wood pieces. Previous owner had it for over ten years and it’s the best ever !

We bought one from Costco a few years ago and it’s holding up great. It took a few days, but my husband and I put it up ourselves. The brand is Cedar Summit

We got ours at American sale around 1200. It’s cedar and my boys enjoy it.
