What is everyone doing about touching up their greys? Mine are so bad. Was supposed to get touched up this week.  anyone buying and dying themselves? I always end up hot boxing my roots. Any suggestions?

Madison Reed their ingredients are a lot safer and cleaner than drugstore brands.

I hated Madison Reed. Very uneven color and did not cover grey well for me.

I’m waiting about another week before I use L’Oréal box again. I’m 99. 9 % gray. My hair grows about an inch per month. The struggle here is real. If you have recs on a brand, please share.

See if your salon is offering touch up kits. This stuff works pretty well temporarily.

I have dark brown hair with some grey. I am normally highlighted to blend everything. I have used natural instincts semi permanent in cool blond. It helped blend everything. It's not perfect but I feel like it helps. And it's not permanent and won't damage hair (at least as much at permanent)

I found my stylist here, Shannon Baker - Stylist she’s selling root touch up kits- no contact picks. She has a home salon in Naperville and I can’t wait til we get the “Illinois is open order”, Shannon will be one of my first stops!  by the way thank you for who ever recommended her - she’s consistently giving me the best haircuts of my life! Even now with my rooty-tooty hair the style is amazing!

@archeology23 Awww thank you! My hair page is www. facebook. com/shannonbakerstylist/ I just did a live video discussing these touch up kits. They are from Wella and designed for at home use. So totally above board and legal. They are $20. They are semi permanent and offer 30% grey coverage, and last about 10 shampoos. It will not lift your hair so no risk of unwanted warmth. Great way to blend grays always until you can see your stylist again.

I’m embracing the gray, for now! And my roots are really bad. Any DIY solution is just too much work with everything else going on.

Don’t do it yourself, it could result in a far more costly color correction when this is all over. We have root sprays to get you through. We can do porch drop off or curbside pickup. Http://premiermassage. net/shop. html

There are quite a few salons doing no contact root kit pick ups! Or WOW is a great root touch up kit that you can get at Ulta or Sephora

I do it myself anyway. Just get in there. I tend to do the whole head unless I did the same brand and color twice in a row.

Hi Amy! I know it’s an awful feeling  and hot roots are the worst! At Amber Waves salon, we sell Bumble and Bumble and they have great options for cover up! I can PM you a video if you would like to see how well it works! Stay safe!
