How many of us are vegan and glad they are doing it? When did you start and what benefits have you experienced? I just saw this very inspiring movie on benefits of being vegan and was curious. Thanks for sharing

Whole plant based food lifestyle is better than vegan.  I saw that documentary as well and learned really quickly after looking up recipes that vegan doesn’t necessarily mean healthy. I have not personally adopted the diet due to health reasons, but I plan to once my health is under control.

I went vegan for a couple months and kept getting really sick. Doctor told me that vegans end up getting weak immune systems from having low intakes of important nutrients. I saw a nutritionist and went whole plant based food diet as well. My energy levels went up after just a couple weeks and I’ve never felt better. Organic foods and no boxed junk.

Yes! That’s a great movie! I’m vegan for the animals (the torture those sweet, gentle babies endure at the hands of humans is absolutely criminal ). The eczema on my arms went away immediately. My cholesterol a month after cutting out meat was 127. I felt much better overall. And recovery from long runs was much easier. Dairy is one of the most inflammatory things we can ingest (most of us are lactose intolerant) and eliminating that helps greatly with inflammation throughout the body. Everything you need, you can get from a vegan diet. There are so many great options available (that don’t hurt anybody) and some great cookbooks available.

Thank you everyone. I decided to take some of vegan and whole plant. I’m taking out meat, fish, dairy, honey, anything from animals , and will take out as much processed food and sweets as possible.
