Has anyone had hernia surgery? Are you glad you did it? My pain is about a . 5 but I am hearing when they start to annoy you they should be fixed so that you don’t have an episode where it pops out and twists. Just debating risk and reward in this current climate. Would love to know Dr if you are willing to PM me and share.

I had an umbilical hernia repair surgery with Dr. Bea Klade. Highly recommend her. Also had a family member see her for an inguinal hernia repair who would also recommend her.

She did mine, and then last year, she did my son's hernia. She is a down to earth, cool doctor.

It’s better to have the surgery before the pain is a 10! Will it be robotic?

@thistle no I don’t think so. Hopefully laparoscopic

@deutschland just as good, faster recovery, follow post op instructions about when you can lift over 10 pounds and drive, take stool softeners post op. Can you tell I’m a nurse?

@deutschland thanks! I admire the health care workers who are taking care of Covid patients.

Have the surgery before. I waited too long and had to have three hernia surgeries.
