Any vets or vet techs in this group? I have a question about dog food!

@intermigration2735 awesome! Switched my dog from a grain free diet to science diet about 3 months ago. He seemed ok. Fast forward to being put on metacam for joint pain last Friday. Monday he started refusing the science diet food and having BAD gas (both burping and farting). We stopped the metacam yesterday morning and started on chicken/rice bland diet (which he happily eats! ) but his gas is still awful (and I mean it’s TERRIBLE). Should we switch him off the science diet to another brand or could this just be a residual side effect from the metacam? Also is science diet a premium dog food? I read the label and it doesn’t seem like it has the best ingredients but it was suggested by our new vet.

@intermigration2735 science diet is terrible! No profession in te dog industry feeds their dogs science diet unless it is a vet. Contact a nutritionist specialist. They will be able to guide you better to what you need for your dogs needs.

There are companies out there that will make you food based off your dogs needs. I can get some names for you when I get up.
