Hi ladies - I broke my phone today and suddenly can no longer put off upgrading my phone. (I left it on the car and forgot to retrieve it before my hubby drove off. It’s REALLY broken ). My current phone is a 4 year old iPhone 6s. Debating between the iPhone SE and iPhone 11. Who has the SE? I would really love to save the money if it’s a decent phone! I’m sure it will be much better than what I’m used to but I’m nervous about why it’s so cheap! Thanks for any insight!

My mom has iPhone SE 4 lol. I just upgraded her to the new SE this week. It’s so similar to the old one (bigger tho). She liked the button and it’s not as high tech with the face stuff as mine is lol. Great phone not much different than mine IPhone 10

I just got the SE today so I don’t know much about it. Seems similar to my 7. For the extra money the 11 wasn’t worth it for me and what I use it for.

Also, the guy from Verizon said he’s been hearing a lot of problems with the XR. He said he’d suggest anything except the XR.

I just upgraded to the XR take a look and compare battery life if that’s important to you! It was double what the XS

I have the 11 and my husband has the SE. The only difference is that the 11 is larger (sometimes awkward to hold) but has an extra camera. I have been tempted to trade my 11 in for an SE ‍♀️

My husband and I have an XR (so no help) but we had to move my daughter over to a different plan so we got a free 11 for her and she’s super happy! A friend of mine got the 11 pro (not pro max) and loves it. This link might help. .

I would check to see how long Apple will provide technical support for the SE before making a decision. You wouldn’t want to get a phone that only has a year or two of technical support if you are the type of person who doesn’t upgrade regularly.

We just upgraded 5 phones in my family to SE mainly because it has all the 11 main features but still has the home button (all 5 ppl are older or hate technology) the 11 is better if you like the latest gadgets and cameras but the price sucks

I took my phone to one of those phone repair places and they sell phones. Got a great iPhone 7 for $200 and a 18 month warranty

Don’t do IPhone 11 the 8 works perfectly. If a new screen would fix your 6s I will buy it from you.

I LOVE my iPhone 11. If you’re a picture taker it’s worth it. The home button was non-issue after a day.

That pictures way more clear on my phone than it posted here so that’s annoying  but I love it. Battery life is 1. 5 days for me

@hammerless I am a picture taker so this is my main question about the SE!
by (940 points)
@speech i know nothing about it sorry! I landed in California and my phone got run over in the airport terminal - looked just like yours! The 11 was the only phone (that was an iPhone) I could take with me that day so the choice was made for me haha

@hammerless oh no! That would be stressful! Yeah, my hubby found mine in the middle of the road, clearly run over a couple times ‍♀️

I upgraded from a 6s to a 11 and love it. I don’t have an issue with it not having a home button. It does take a little getting used to, but it’s still easy to use. I got a great deal on Black Friday, which is why I went with the iPhone 11.

My mom just upgraded her 6s to the SE and has been very happy. My husband has an XR and can’t wait to get rid of it to get the SE

I have an SE and it’s what I have bought for my 2 teenagers. There is nothing wrong with it. It doesn’t have the latest and greatest camera but it’s small enough to still fit in my pocket. My dad also has an SE and thinks it’s great.

Hey not being one of “those” girls, but spend the money on the protective screen and a ballistic case (5-6 years ago total 40. 00). I’ve dropped my phone 100s of times on concrete, off counters, from my ear to ground, I’ve kicked it, sat on it, etc. and not even a scratch. My son has the same on his phone with the included Apple clear cover. Barring the time he washed his phone, his phone his has weathered even worse.

I heard that when the screen does break with the cover it looks shattered, but is really the protective cover and not the screen.

I upgraded from the old iPhone se (the one that came after iPhone 5) to the iPhone 11 in December. I hated how big it was for the longest time because I have tiny hands but I’ve gotten used to it and the function is great. Getting used to not having the home button was super fast and it takes awesome pictures. Only downside right now is that facial recognition doesn’t work with a face mask lol. Battery life is also awesome and lasts all day even when I’m on it all the time.

Just bought my daughter the SE, it’s a good phone, she wanted a smaller size so went with that. Camera is good quality. If you were looking to save money you won’t really sacrifice much getting that phone

Get the iPhone 11. It’s great. Expensive but When you think of the one thing you use daily, what is it? Shouldn’t the product you use the most, cost the most? Some people drop a lot of money on makeup or beauty products or cars and those items aren’t used nearly as often as our cell phones which are glued to us
