I know there have been a lot of "where should I go for spring break" type posts. but it's so much information. I just have one major question. will the water be warm enough for my teens and my preschooler? Looking at either the Carolinas or the Florida/Alabama area. If I'm going to go to the beach, I want it to be warm, and I want the water to be warm. I want the unheated pool to be warm. So I want wherever I go to have the best chance of being warm. :) Anyone have any input? Editing to clarify. maybe WARM was the wrong word. I'm talking about kids going in water. :)

South Florida is pretty much your only shot of warm water (other than Hawaii) in the US this time of year. Both Miami and the Keys are fairly warm to swim in.

We are in the Fort Myers area right now. We leave later today.  The weather is picture perfect!

We took a 4 night cruise out of Galveston (flying to Texas at spring break was MUCH cheaper than flying to florida) and it was perfect! The Bahamas are warm enough!

The water in the Carolinas, or even Georgia during spring break will still be cold.

We got to Savannah (Tybee Island) almost every year for spring break. Sometimes it’s nice and hot. Most of the time it’s chilly. The ocean will be chilly guaranteed. Go to Florida to be safe!

Looks like we won't be doing a spring break trip to the beach. might as well stick with our original plan of visiting family. :/
