For those who have had a scheduled c-section at Edward hospital, did the L&D department call you to give you detailed instruction the day before your scheduled date? Like when to start fasting, how early we need to be there, and what we need to bring etc.

I didn’t have my c section at Edwards but at Good Sam in Downers Grove, they called a week in advance w intake questions then emailed me all the info I needed for the day of.

I believe they call several days in advance.

Yes, i did get a call just not sure how many days beforehand

Usually it’s nothing solid 8 hours prior to surgery, up to 2 hours before you can have clear liquids.

I did a couple months ago. they called about 3-4 days prior. I was scheduled for 8:30a csection and couldn't eat/drink after midnight the night before.

I received instructions on mychart.

I got a call 4-5 days in advance. Mine was no food or water after midnight. Tell you what time to be there etc.

Thank you ladies for all the info. I have it scheduled for next Wednesday so hopefully I’ll get the call soon.
