Does anyone use this for their kids or have a review to share? (I'm aware that some parents don't like to associate chores with allowance. I'm just looking for opinions from parents who've actually used this or know someone who does). Thanks!

My 9 year old and 15 year old have used this for over a year now and it is awesome! When my 9 year old is hanging out at a friends house and the parents decide to take them to epic air or for lunch I just add money to the card. No more needing to run to bank for cash, venmo, quick pay or anything like that. Also, they cannot over draft, which is a huge plus.

@ferreira ooooh, good point! My daughter goes somewhere with her friends last minute or unexpectedly, and I never have cash on me. Very cool!

We’ve used these for about 2 years now with three of our kids. Really easy to use! Even worked overseas for our daughters school trip.

@coca2072 good to hear. It sounds like it gives kids more independence and freedom. Thanks for the input!

We use it and love it! They can categorize their money into, a spend bucket, a save bucket and a giving bucket. It gives us the opportunity to teach them how to save. They can also set goals for themselves on what they want to save for and put money in that bucket. We love it so far!

My 12 & 14 yr olds have these. We love it. Plus I added chores and now they fight over who does the chores to earn $. They always had chores but it’s so much nicer not having to repeatedly ask them to do something.

We use it and love it. I can see when kids purchase things when they are out on their own which is great. I also can pay per chore which works well in our house.

Ditto to what everyone has said. We use it for our 12 and 9 year old boys. I never carry cash so it’s easy to pay them their allowance and give them extra money when they need it. I can also turn off their allowance when they haven’t done their chores!

I personally that our kids should learn to be responsible with cash before we let them use plastic. Its so easy to overspend with plastic!
