What do you put in a one year old’s Easter basket? I got him a board book, but I have no clue what else to get for him!

When mine were that age we would fill the eggs with their snacks- 2 Cheerios in an egg, a few puffs, blueberries. whatever they love to eat. They had the best time walking around picking eggs up and enjoying their snacks

@suffer and Doug have a neat water art thing that’s like $6. You could do a bucket and shovel for outside, swim suit, flip flops, bath toy. also we do single serving crackers/cookies instead of chocolates or candy.

I always get my boys what they’ll need for spring/summer instead of a bunch of trinket toys that will end up in the trash. Examples are rain boots, umbrella, pale and shovel, swim suit, beach towel, water toys, sandals, sand toys, bubbles and then m&ms for a little treat.

You dont have to fill it. You will be the only one to really remember how much was in it. Consider writing a small note in the book

I ordered some stuff for my granddaughter from Learning Express. You order online, pay over the phone, and they bring it out to the door. They have some pretty good choices.

Egg maracas. Put different things inside the plastic eggs then tape them shut with mailing tape. We used different things for different sounds - pennies, rice, dried beans, beads, jingle bells. They made different shush shush sounds inside the eggs. My kids had fun discovering what sound each egg made. They also liked shaking along to kids music. Even though I used heavy duty mailing tape to seal them, I never left my kids alone with them just in case they managed to break the egg open when my back was turned.

My son was 8 months for his first Easter and I put books, bath toys, bubbles, snacks like puffs, yogurt melts, and mum mums. If you don’t have any outdoor toys like a toy lawnmower or ride on toy those are good options as well.
