Hi ladies- can anyone share the state of Costco these days? We've avoided for a couple of months. Are weekends much worse than the weekdays? Have you found an ideal time to go? Thanks!

I went yesterday. They are allowing only a certain amount of people in at a time and keeping them 6 feet apart

I went last week around noon for the first time since all of this started. I thought they had their system down well. They are only letting 75 people in the store so I waited 5-10 min outside. They have lots of extra staff helping, cleaning, etc and are taking extra precautions. For example, they scan your id while it is in your hand vs them picking it up, they look at the receipt from behind plexiglass, etc. I was pretty comfortable there. Just a heads up that they had no fresh chicken or ground turkey if you happened to be looking for it. Perhaps it has been restocked, but that entire area was full of other products. (They do have frozen chicken breats though. )

I went yesterday. Arrived around 10:45 and waited in line outside for about 30 minutes. Inside there’s not much wait for checking out and shopping is pretty easy because aisles are so open.

We went On Friday and stood in line about 5 to 7 minutes around 1 o’clock. We were able to get water and paper towels and Lysol. They’re only letting a few people in at a time. So if you have to stand outside go on a nice day.

I would go midday during the week, if you absolutely must

I finally went today after a very long time. it wasn’t bad at all. They are doing a very good job on implementing social distancing - I went in not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.

I went yesterday at 10 AM. Line was wrapped around building to get in. They are only allowing so many people in at a time. The guy working said the best time to go is at 1:00 pm or after. Hardly anyone at store then

Tuesday at 5 or 5:30pm. About an hour before they close there are not as many people and you can usually walk right in. The only problem is they may not have fresh chicken and there will be no pasta

I went 430 Monday. At first I wasn’t going to stand in line, but it took 5 minutes. They also list what they are sold out of on a giant white board when you walk in. I just ran in to get my brisket- so easy to move around without the usual “Costco zombies“ wandering. They also only let 2 people in per card.

I went this morning, and they shared this info as I waited in line: Senior hours on Tue, Wed and Thu are the MOST crowded. The FIRST hour after opening is the MOST crowded with non-senior shoppers. Late morning to mid-afternoon is not nearly as busy. Also, no fresh chicken or other poultry that I saw. Also out of stock- desk chairs. I felt it was well-stocked.

Has anyone had luck buying disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper at Costco? If so, when. Is there any rhyme or reason?

@archeology23 my husband said the Naperville Costco had toilet paper yesterday (we didn’t buy any) but no wipes or hand sanitizer.
