I would much rather have green open spaces with trees and garden with areas for live music, restaurants, small businesses, bakeries, coffeeshops and community relaxation.

I think we're too close to Rivers Casino for them to ever okay that.

I’d like Mill Run resurrected. It was a great venue.

Rivers is 10 min away - no thank you! A revamped mall similar to Randhurst or Old orchard would do well in that spot with proper vision and management. Needs to draw quality retailers and dining options

Casino, no way. Making it a hotel and entertainment district would be great though.

Have you noticed how much money you are saving since the casinos closed?

Quality retailers the way we think about such as macys and nordstrom and lofts of the world will all be disrupted to go online. Covid will accelerate adoption of online shopping. Shopping for clothes in a physical environment will experience a lot of pressure to survive. It will be shortsighted to think that Old Orchard model is the future. Post covid, what humans will crave in a world with easy online retail is a space to connect, relax, walk, listen to music and have fun with each other.

And maybe interact with the brands they love in new, unique spaces. Like apple store.

I think an open air mall like Old Orchard is a great idea. However the same type of shops need to move in and I’m not sure this will happen. When the mall was full of shops it still couldn’t keep people coming in. The same people that lived near Golf Mill make the trip to Woodfield. It was too much of a hang out place for questionable people and no one did anything about it so people stayed away. Clean it up, open it up and bring new life to that area. I don’t think a casino is the answer

Rather have an outdoor mall. Or a similar concept to streets of wood field/the park in rosemont. Restaurants, bars, and we already have a theater there. -Shana

There will be no store's in Niles to shop at. Think about that. The last thing we need is a casino and hotel. Restaurants and bars aren't the way to go either. We do need shops and something that will keep the riff raf out. We definitely do not need a place for trouble makers to hangout.

That would definitely affect the quality of people’s life in niles . just imagine how many ‘nice people’ or going there and how they act or react when they are angry amd drunk bc they loat money in it . honestly is not the best idea .

Yes. All of the arguments about bad element were there with the OTB. Never happened and the business paid taxes. Better a casino and hotel than another branch bank that pays no taxes.

Heck no. Let's get an Entertainment District going, preferably behind the Leaning Tower if they still are planning that option. Perfect location with no homes in sight. We need another Mill Run theater for those who remember it. There are enough pop-up gambling sites in this Village Imo.

Up to the owners of the property first. Then niles has to agree to rezone what they want to do with the property. Unless the city wants to Pay 40-50 million for everything. Then they can do what they want

Bring back the old Millionaire's Club, The Mill Run theater, and the OTB. Sprinkle in a few shops and bistros.
