Question

Has anyone been to Portillo's during the pandemic? Drive thru was always crazy before pandemic so I'm wondering how it is now. If I order for pickup do I still go through drive thru or do they have people working in the parking lot? Thanks.

We’ve gone 3 times. Once just waiting in the drive thru line(mistake) and the other 2 times, we ordered ahead of time. I’d go that route, unless you don’t mind waiting in the actual line. If you order ahead of time, they will direct you to a parking spot and you give the name on the order. Very easy and smooth.

My mom has gotten it twice and both times was a mess. They waited longer even after they called the order in.

Ordered on phone Saturday night and curbside pick up. I parked in a spot, they asked me name on order and brought to my car. Not a long wait at all. Yes, I wore a mask and gloves.

I went midday and it was super fast. They take your order quickly, put a numbered post it on your windshield, then have you park in a numbered spot. Then someone brings out the food. I think they’re doing a great job!

I went twice and it seemed like when it was during normal busy times. Maybe waited a little longer, but not much. Could be I went during an unusual time.

Yes. I was there on Thursday around 4ish and the drive thru line was long, but moved. They seemed organized though.

Both order p/u and drive thru work very well depending on time of day. Eat early or later works the best

Have it delivered much faster. No pastas and no ribs. Went there twice over 1 hour wait. Ordered on line pick up. Terrible they have no more on line pick up in assigned spaces. Best to deliver

Download the app and do curbside pick up. Much less waiting then going there to order through the drive through

Order on line then drive up to door NOT DRIVETHRU . give your name when they come out. Dont leave your car

Went yesterday to the one in Dempster. I waited 45 minutes for our order (after being asked to repeat my order to 3 different people)

We found it not much different. The difference is when you are to get your order you have to park in a pick up space and they bring it to you. Well worth the few minutes of waiting.

Still busy . we called ahead & waited 40 min on a Sunday dinner time. the drive through was moving faster.

I ordered online. Pickup too 5 mins. Super easy. The drive thru line was down Dempster @ the time.

I went there the other day. day the line. ordered on the phone. took less time then if I would have ordered in the driver thru

It does get crazy. There may be a way to call in and get curb pick up NOT in the drive thru line. But I’m not positive on that

I drove into the parking lot on Dempster and the line went to the Hallmark store. So I went into Jewel and when I came out they turned the line towards the Dempster street exit. I got in line and ordered from a guy in the parking lot. From that moment till the time I pulled out was less than 10 minutes. They actually brought my food out before I got to the window. Very well organized.

I ordered online. Picked up in the numbered spots. Super easy. Limited menu though.

Portillo’s has this act together, I have ordered several time in that last 2 months at different hours. all have been great and fast. I wish they had run this state during the pandemic. We all would of had masks and. Testing done with a Jeff sandwiching 25 minutes
