Hi!  Looking for a salon to dye the bottom two inches of my brunette 10 year olds hair blue.Hi! Looking for a salon to dye the bottom two inches of my brunette 10 year olds hair blue. I was quoted upwards of $250 from a local salon on Milwaukee but I would prefer not to sell my kidney in order to be able to do this! Ha! Any suggestions?

Go to Niles beauty school. its way cheaper. they are students but teachers APPROVE all decisions and formulations on the clients. Its on Milwaukee. good luck

@atp1 it’s a tough transition Bc they have to bleach it first then color it with the blue. I used to have purple and because of the double process it can be quite costly. Have you looked into a beauty school?

My mom used to do hair so I know what you have to do its more time consuming but still 250

I would do it my self because there are all not permanent go to CVS and get the dye.

There's a whole lot of steps to dyeing your hair blue, if you want it to look nice. The cheaper versions are going to wash/fade pretty quick. If you're going to do it, do it right.

If you don't find a salon- You could for sure go to Sallys Beauty on Dempster and buy the dye and developer, it'll be like $20 tops and you'll have extra product to brighten it up later! Watch a quick youtube video and youre set. Since its the tips of your hair I think it would be easy enough to see the areas of hair (ie. applying evenly) I would do this when I dyed my hair red. Talk to the employees there, if you have darker hair they have dyes that work well!

That’s the going price for good hair color! If you want it done right and to keep your hair in good shape see a professional. Do it yourself and you’ll be paying to have it fixed. Yes I’m a hair colorist I’ve done hair for over 20 years. Free advice, don’t go to a beauty school but find a salon that does advanced training and when they are in the creative color phase of training they will need models
