Don’t remember where I heard it, but I heard Meier.

@jerad the one that used to be on Golf in @armourer was a small Meijer, and that one was over 100, 000 sq feet. I wish it would be a Meijer, but at 35, 000 sq feet, that’s just too small. I miss Meijer being close by.

@whiny I can’t say I share your feelings for Meier. I found the quality of their produce was lacking.

@jerad agreed, it was very lacking.

Most grocery stores are that size, so it’s hard to say. Definitely not an Aldi or Trader @snuffle’s. Those are way smaller; closer to 10, 000-12, 000 sq feet, I believe. Woodmans and Meijer stores are huge, like 200, 000 sq feet or something. So, probably just a regular grocery store. ‍♀️

Trader @snuffle’s would be a nice one to have.

@farah31739 @armourer has fallen to the wayside. Their is no incentive to bring in new businesses. How sad. :(

Those are too few. Every other suburb has surpassed @armourer/activity" class="qa-user-link">armourer/activity" class="qa-user-link">armourer/activity" class="qa-user-link">armourer when it comes to this. There needs to be an incentive program to bring in big retail business and keep them here. Just my opinion.

Don’t forget about Patel bros !

@armourer That is a pathetic comparison to Morton Grove’s new offerings.

No offense to those businesses, but no one will come into the area specifically to patronize.

I know I am in the minority, but I would like a nice Jewel. All of the ones in driving distance of us are old and decrepit. Put a really nice one in Morton Grove and let them close another nearby one, like the one on Dempster near Lutheran General or the one not so far from that across from Jerry's.

I could see it being Amazon. They already have a warehouse in MG. I hope it's something reasonable. What kinda grocer requires a nda?

I dont know who they think lives in M. G. we are middle class that wants a general middle of the road grocery store. Something too fancy or expensive is not going to survive. That area is like a food desert.

I love this town. We have some of the best family owned restaurants to some really good chain ones. “We can use better Chinese ”. But overall as a 6 year resident I’m pleased with my choices. Great community

I wholeheartedly agree. I love @armourer. We've been here 11 years. So many great things about it. We are really pleased with our community.
