I heard it too! 2 booms really fast in a row. I looked at the clock and it said 9:33. Location I’m at is between Ontario and Erie and Harlem. It sounded south of me, but who knows.

I heard too on oak park and pleasant. I didn’t think they (2) sounded like gunshots but was curious! Hoping fireworks.

We were wondering this as well. Definitely not fireworks. Sounded more similar to a transformer blowing or major construction work (dropping of heavy equipment / materials). We’re close to the Green line and Lake so maybe related to the construction?
