Random ask: anyone in this group able to do a medallion signature guarantee? (For purposes of transferring securities. ) Most banks have suspended doing medallion signature guarantees at this time. if you have any leads, let me know. Thanks!

@pinnace16 that stinks. We had one we had to do and there was a notary option (with 100 other requierments), but at least it was there. Good luck.

The US Bank on OP does this, but I beleive even the limited hours are cut now. If there is a notary option (pain in the butt I know with the extra steps) I have my Notary stamp at home w me.

FYI Starting in the 1990s, due to the increasing prevalence of identity theft and fraud, the security measures used for these stamps increased. They now contain a barcode, and have an invisible security compound in the ink that can be read by special “Stamp 2000 Plus” scanners used by transfer agents. They also have a prefix that indicates their surety limit, which limits how much they can guarantee the transaction for: Medallion Surety Limit

Usually you have to go to your own bank and they are early morning options as the times are limited and drive their only. Call ahead and inquire.
