Hi Moms!  Any tips and tricks for deals on airfare?Hi Moms! Any tips and tricks for deals on airfare? Booked a cruise out of San Juan for our fam of 6 and got an amazing deal! However, flights are insane! Thinking of canceling cruise so this is a last ditch effort. Hoping to fly out 3/21 and return 3/29. Would even love to buy miles if you have any expiring. if even allowed. Thoughts?

I just cruised out of San Juan last month. Airfare was more expensive than the cruise unfortunately. We never found a “good” deal.

@gladsome There’s a Cruise March 22-29 I was looking at for $398 a person! Leaves out of New Orleans, so driving would be an option.

@gladsome I booked to Cabo today for those dates. I was shocked at the prices. Since you have a cruise already and aren’t real flexible on dates, you might want to get help from a travel agent for the flights. I think they know the secrets. Good luck

Yes. Tuesday is great! Wednesday is also not bad. Make sure you are using a decent search engine that compares airlines fairly and not on preference. I like TripAdvisor's search engine and I tweak it on the left side. Kayak is also a decent way to look. Also GoogleFlights.

Clear your cookies before searching on your computer! They keep track of how many times you check airfare and it seems to always go up! I have tested this several times and it always works!

You’re well past the paid in full date. Would you even be able to get a refund if you cancelled?

I just booked a spring break trip and we are flying frontier airlines, I'm not sure if they go where you need to but it was way cheaper than any others but they do sometimes move the flight times around a little.

The reason flights r so crazy is because of spring break. They always jack up prices during that time.

Use Hopper to find a deal. I just used that site and it actually helped me find the cheapest flight. If you hit watch flight it’ll then tell you the best time to purchase it.

We just went to Florida via southwest. I got plane tickets for $280 round trip for 2 of us. Check out their “low fare calendar”.

Someone recommended the Hopper app once, I haven’t used it yet but it’s pretty cool and alerts you to the good deals

When we fly to San Juan we usually do Southwest - cannot get it cheaper! Often they have a deal with their CC where they give you lots of points when you are a new customer too - might get one of you there free?

Scotts Cheap Flights. Have been getting amazing deals the past few years that allow us to go to some super cool places. I think it is like a $5 fee a month to join, but it literally saves our family thousands each time. Round trip to London, Iceland, Rome, and Paris for each less than $340/person. I have seen some Puerto Rico deals on there too but can't remember how much. I think less than $400 the other day.

If you end up selecting Southwest, I have a $150 voucher from them damaging my luggage I will sell to you for $75. It expires this year and I never fly anywhere
