I have a decorative hat box with special ones. I love going through them once in a while

I loved looking at those when I was younger/teenager. I would suggest giving each kid their stack of cards and let them decide if they want to save them. As an adult, I typically hold onto a card for a while but eventually recycle them. I currently have been saving all of Ollie’s

I’ve typically kept all but recently started to go through old ones and limit to family but did very much enjoy going through all the ones my mom kept for me.

I kept the ones from my mom and I’m so glad that I did because she died a year ago and they are very special to me. I have been getting my son birthday cards and putting them in a scrap book for him to have one day.

Note: I recycle a lot of them from other people but keep immediate family

I used to save them all but recently tossed everything but a few (like one from a cousin who has since passed away)

Save the important ones. Cut up the other pretty ones to make new cards or a collage. My mom and i did this one year with xmas cards, used wrapping paper as the backrground and collaged a bunch of pretty pictures and quotes and framed it. She hangs it at xmas every year.

So I got a great idea from somebody else before. To cut them up and use them as gift tags for Christmas or future gifts. I love this idea.

@conscription another cute idea that I saw is a friend of mine posted those card boxes you get on Michael's she has one for every holiday and then she brings them out each holiday and they look through the old cards. She puts them on a ring where you just flip through them. Another friend laminated them like that and puts them out on the coffee table at Christmas.

I just had this made from a card. I didn't have anything from my Grandma so I'm really excited about it

@rage30288 that is so cool. Who did you have this made through? I would love to do something like this.

Whichever you decide to keep that you feel are important, you can scan/ take pictures of them to save them.

Your kids could use them for crafts or to make more cards to send to grandparents, friends, aunts/uncles or senior living/nursing homes.
