Anybody ever tried to dye brown eggs? I know I can buy white ones but I’d like to not be wasteful and use what we have at home.

We also used a natural dye. I think the regular egg dye would be brighter than these.

The one on the bottom left is green. Barely shows at all.

@dafodil I think I will use store bought dye but I think it will be fun.

If you Google how to dye them, sometimes they just alter the color minimally. So for example if you dye an egg red, it wouldn’t need as much red dye as a white egg will since white will turn pink but the brown helps bring out more of a red color than pink.

Blue dye does make them look more green. That is all I remember about brown eggs though.

They are more Jewel tone verse pastel. Very pretty

I think so! I just don’t think they will be “vibrant “ but try to stick to colors like purpled blues and green

Yeah, the red and pink and green colors were really pretty. Blue didn’t come through at all for us; it looked green. Didn’t try yellow. I definitely would’ve preferred white eggs but what can ya do ‍♀️

Yes. The one I’m holding is brown egg dyed with green. The rest in the bowl are white eggs. They are more bright and colorful.
