@stowe American pelicans usually stop there for a a few days this time of year during migration to MN. I happened upon them accidentally many years ago. The first year they came

Both Hoover and Harris forest preserves in Yorkville have quite a few trails, and have not been crowded. You can search trail maps for both online ahead of time on the Kendall County Forest Preserve site.

@stowe I live on the other side and the park district has it chained off with a sign up. It's considered a park and all parks are closed. Must be because of the playset ‍♀️

Oakhurst in Aurora - but the path had some water on it so I suggest boots or waterproof shoes.
