* update it’s been laying in the same spot for hours so it’s obviously sick and dying so we’re letting it pass on it’s own** Anyone on this group a trapper? Or husband is? Rather support local but need a raccoon removed from my yard

Just FYI, that means it will be killed. Relocating is not allowed.

@laocoon9707 I’m aware and not that I want to but animal control won’t get it. I believe it is sick and have kids in my backyard so really no option but to hire trapper. It’s coming up to my door

I just saw your post in another group. If it’s sick, call the non emergency police. They have been sending out officers to shoot them. That would be free and you wouldn’t have to pay a trapper

@seabury if the raccoon is sick with distemper, that puts your dog at risk for catching it. Distemper can transfer between species
