Question

Unfortunately, our old, sweet, gentle giant, horse of a black lab tore his ACL yesterday  He’s going to be getting surgery but we know recovery will be a journey. Luckily this dog loves him a good swim and that’s something that’d be great physical therapy for him! Anyone know of any dog friendly ponds, beaches, or lakes in the area we can take him to? Pleasssse tell me they exist out here

Kristina Dodge Canine Wellness . Not exactly swimming but she does massages and treatments especially for these types of surgeries

@orthotropic645 doggie massage love it. Hes also 10 1/2 with arthritis in his hips. Poor old man. Im sure there’s something there they have that can help! Great recommendation!

I know it’s not a “pond” . but Natural Healing in West Chicago offers hydrotherapy. Two wonderful pools with assisted swim. My Saint Bernard has been going there for major hip dysplasia.

I’m daytime mom to my neighbors black lab. He tore his acl a few months ago. He’s still recovering but doing great. His poor back leg is so skinny though
