Question

Does anyone know where I can get a small amount of straw or a straw bale (not hay or anything for growing grass) for my strawberries in my garden? I bought a bale online before but the price has tripled to over $40 and I only need a small amount (4x4 area). Thanks!

I actually have two if you want them. I was going to seed my yard after a major project but now we are going to sod it. If you want them I’ll give them to you.

@carchemish97880 do you know if it is hay or straw? I think people usually use a certain kind that has grass seed in it and to help grass grow, but plain straw is what I use in my strawberry patch to prevent grass from growing.

I’ve seen a farm on Facebook market place selling wheat strawbales locally for $5/bale.
