Anyone trying to get unemployment get threw to a human? I’ve been trying for 2 weeks all day and it’s either busy or says they have a high call volume call later all 400 times plus I’ve called

@absonant1 I got my approval and certified on the 11th checked pending deposit on 12th nothing so called Teleserve to check status of the certification and it said it was suspended!?

Took me weeks to get through. Finally did at 3:00 last Thursday. I’ve heard try early or later. Not middle of the day. And I had to sit on hold for 45 minutes!

I called on a Friday, the first 100 times I called, I got the “high call volume” recording. But when I called at 230, I finally got the other message. Sat on hold for about an hour and fifteen minutes, but was finally able to speak to someone. She was very very nice . I know it’s frustrating. But right now they are managing 4 million cases. There isn’t a call center in the world that could handle that kinda volume. Just keep trying. You’ll get through eventually.

It took me about a week or so to get through. I got through when I just spent about an hour straight calling. There are two different automated messages. As soon as she would say, “we’re experiencing higher call volumes” I would hang up and call right back. If she doesn’t say anything about high call volumes you’re in the regular menu. There are tons of things to listen to and choose from in the correct menu, and I know I got confused because right at the end she says again “there’s a high call volume. ” For the first few times I got to that point I would hang up and try again. One time I just waited to see if she’d hang up on me and she didn’t. She told me there was a high wait time and then told me about how long it would be. And I finally got through. Basically I just made sure I could spend a long time on the phone and called back over and over again. I’ve heard other people saying calling first thing in the morning is a little easier to get through. I hope this is a little helpful.

I heard you have to call first thing in the morning to get through. Check your payment history sometimes it will tell you if there's an issue also.

I got through last week. They said the high volume time is 10-2. So maybe try before or after that time?

Try calling Representative Kifowit's office. They have ways of getting a hold of IDES. Office # is 630-585-1308.
