Weird question but has anyone already received their refund back? If so how is it reading on your bank statement? I think mine was deposited but I’m not too sure because of the wording.

@mcclanahan i believe legally they have to have your W2 sent to you by January 31.

They have to mail them by January 31st.

Already? Wow did you claim any dependents? Because I thought I read somewhere that those refunds would take longer
by (150 points)
@sloan84 those who don’t have to walk “the path” (the path act) get their’s really quick. If you are under the path act then won’t get the refund till 2/27-3/3

@ibadannifer Spall we have a dependent and got ours back yesterday

@ibadan The PATH Act mandates that the IRS not issue a refund on tax returns claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit until at least Feb. 15. The additional time helps the IRS stop fraudulent refunds from being issued

@pickaback it’s not the claiming of dependents it’s if you did the EITC or ACTC. From my understanding if you are of a higher tax bracket then you won’t qualify for those. But I’m not 100% sure

@ibadannifer Spall I filed already and usually get my refund on like 2/22 or 2/23 with the Path act.
by (130 points)
Earned income credit and additional child tax credit are those that use the path act-so they say the IRS won’t issue refunds for those people til mid February.

"Tax Product". I filed with Turbo Tax

This is how my credit union shows it
by (390 points)
That should be it. I double checked the amount against what Turbo Tax said. It is just the federal return. It is strange that yours is a double transaction.

I’m part of the path act and turbo tax says a deposit date of 2/13. Hope it’s true. I’ll check my transcripts once it gets closer to check the deposit date.

I used turbo tax too. My turbo tax date says Feb 3. but it came today! :)

When you login, there should be some sort of progress bar. It’ll say, accepted and two other statuses with a date on the end.
