Question about doing own taxes - my husband and I usually pay a tax professional to do our taxes , the guy we use is familiar with doing taxes for law enforcement so before the reform he helped us with the deductions we could get , but now since you can’t do as much of that I’m considering saving the expense and doing it ourselves . my question is - If I start doing it online with a tax program and I see that maybe it’s a number that’s not really in my favor can I not submit it and then go to my tax guy? Does that make sense ? Thanks

I would assume so. As long as you don’t submit it

Yes, you can test the program and then change your mind and go to your tax professional. I know several people who have done that to decide if a tax professional is worth it.

Ive heard if you enter all your information online and print it out, you can take it to H&R Block for a free review
