Hi everyone, I live in Canada but I’m not sure if Once Upon A Child has locations in the US. Im just wondering if those who have sold children’s clothing they have outgrown to OUAC or a similar store have any tips? One question I have is should I bother taking anything seasonal like Christmas themed? Do they stock up on these through out the year or am I better off to hold onto them and try later in the year? Thanks so much!

Lots of these places are picky on what they accept and the time of year they accept them. I’d call and see what they are accepting. You can always take everything in and they might just give a bunch back to you. Also look to see if you have any other kids consignment stores. I don’t personally use them, I sell my kids clothes on Facebook.

I don’t want to deter you, but I was very disappointed the last time I sold. They gave me on average $2-3 for my best items/ some even brand new. I know I could have got more at a garage sale or would have rather given the new toys away at Christmas time away versus minimal money. I also drove an hour and had to come back another day since they were so busy.

I take my clothes to OUAC. Yes, I definitely could have made more selling on Facebook but I don't have the time or patience to do that right now. Last time I went I took a large Rubbermaid packed full and they gave me $90. They are picky and they only take certain seasons and gender based on their current stock. If you have nice Christmas stuff hold onto it until October. Same with winter coats or boots. But I figure, that's $90 that I didn't have before whereas I could've easily just donated everything. If you have the time, you can get more money on Facebook

I'd hold them till oct next yr and then donate. You get more trying to see on FB though than once apon a child you probably give you
