After hearing the new episode I’m more interested in trying out Fundrise. Here’s my question: I know that riskier investments are not guaranteed but if Vanguard folded tomorrow I’d still have my shares. Is there anything similar within Fundrise or does my investment disappear if they fail?

“The Fundrise funds are one of the few non-accredited offerings that are set up with full bankruptcy protection(bankruptcy remote and shareholders can vote on replacement manager if it goes bankrupt). This provides potential investors with some extra peace of mind. ”

Every time I see Fundrise talked about I get interested, then I do a little research and find it to be a little to risky. I'm sticking with index funds. Daily pricing, near instant liquidity, and broad diversification, three things you don't get with Fundrise.

Liquidity can be a problem, but I'm using fundrise as part of my diversification. It's a very small portion of our overall portfolio, and I'll contribute 10% of our contributions monthly to the account. If liquidity is important, go with VNQ or other REITs. Daily pricing doesn't matter to me, at all. I'm in for a decade or more.
