So the golden butterfly seems to be working for me. While my 401k and roboadvisor is down my golden butterfly actually went up these past two days. Granted, my GB fund is rather small so this is purely anectodal but it was interesting to see. (BTW I'm not panicking or selling or anything. I think this virus stuff is way over-hyped). Who else has a GB fund and how well did it perform these past few days compared to your other investments?

This is interesting to hear! I recently relistened to the GB podcast episode and have been doing a little research. Haven’t committed yet, currently just in Betterment with 90/10 investments .

I do something similar but instead of being as heavy in gold and bonds, I added in alternative energy/utilities/future tech.

@apomict yes mine isn't the perfect butterfly as discussed on the podcast . I modified it a bit but went 15% gold and that is the part that is doing the best atm.

@ways I’m invested maybe 2% in gold. It’s a good time to be in though. I wonder what the next decade will show.

Don't judge "up and down" by 2 days. Especially the last 2.

As I said, it is an anecdote.

I do not have a golden butterfly, but my actively managed portfolio is up 9. 6% YTD.

@spencer8887 curious as to your investments, as I’ve seen your other comments on this page. Are you an advisor? Shoot me a message. Would love to talk with you.

@apomict I’m not an advisor, but I do provide Money Coaching and Investment services. I’ll shoot you a PM.
