How do you record a return in your budget? I returned something this month that I purchased last April (yes, amazing company return policy). Do I count that in this month's budget, or go back in April and subtract it?

Add it as a deposit for this month bc that is when you got it, label it return. You don’t want to go fooling with a month that is already gone.

I would just add it in as income in my current month.
