So we've been contemplating getting an inground pool (only thing our HOA allows) any recommendations on companies to use? And around how much they would be.

Wow. I better go buy a shovel and get started. DIY inground pool here I come

@sarto a lot of my neighbors have pools and I'm sure is so much for the kids, but I can't justify spending more than 40k

@bonnell10 I had a hard time with my land of make believe number of $25k

@sarto A lot of people get equity loans to do a pool . That's an option depending on your situation, interest rates r low

Neptune just did our liner replacement and they were great with communication and the owner was on site for quote and 2 days of work. Very reliable and easy to work with. Your price will depend on SO much. Excavating, size, material (liner/fiberglass), landscape & fencing. Be prepared for $40k for the most basic

Yes figure around 80k before you’re complete - repairing the yard, etc We were over that but had to add to put in a retaining wall and went with an automatic pool cover (game changer) . I think the pool itself without any upgrades is around 40-50. Definitely don’t do it if you’re looking to sell anytime but we don’t plan on selling and we enjoy every minute for the few short months we use it Good luck

@thyself6852 correct. I just put a new liner in mine last year, which was another $5, 000. There is a lot of maintenance with the actual equipment, as well. I went through two heaters.

A way around HOA is digging to put an above ground into the ground however many feet. It worked for my neighbor.

I had one, just moved from my previous home last year. It was great when the kids were young, but as they got older, it was used less. They are very expensive and a ton of work for only being able to use it for a few months.

Look into hybrid pools. They can be inground and will save you a ton.
