Anyone paint their house recently and love the colors? We are almost ready to paint and I’m second guessing my colors. Sticking with grays/modern look. Thanks!

We used Pittsburg paint In Storms coming. It covered the previous owners bright red walls with one coat! But we did two for good measure.

If using grey, get a sample and paint a small section before you do the whole room. Certain greys absorb different colors of the environment.

@fortyniner we bought 9 different samples and I painted different areas of the house to see how it looked

Ok so hacked the system today. We went to Sherwin Williams last week and looked at everyone's colors they suggested. But WOW. Sherwin Williams' prices are crazy. So we picked our SW color, brought it to Menards and they scanned the little paint card and color matched it with their cheaper paint. Bam.

@chiro This looks nice. Since it looks so much like mine, I’m curious if you decided to paint all your trim white or leave the oak? Current dilemma.

@fifield left the oak

Sherwin Williams . Anew Gray I love it - especially if you have brownish wood flooring. It pulls the brown out of paint but still have gray look. It was a great choice!

I was trying to go for the most neutral grey and after painting half the house repose grey and hating it. we went with alpaca and I love it. We did our entire home one color.

@breakthrough we did the same thing. Got about halfway with Repose; hated it, reflected beige. Chose knitting needle. love it, painted whole house!
