Does anyone know of any Long Term Care facilities in the area that are amazing? And have to take Medicaid but we can call and ask that. Family member not in a good LTC facility and we need to get her out ASAP  Thanks!

You could try Alden estates of Naperville. My grandma was there for about 6 years before she passed. Great care they gave her. BUT she was in memory care and the social worker Trish was wonderful.

I visited a place on Van Dyke in Plainfield Heritage Woods the night before my mom died. It was nice. I was going to apply to have her moved there from Indiana. They're studios or one bedrooms. They take Medicaid. They are like little apartments with lockable doors. Staff seemed nice residents I saw seemed nice.

Maybe Marion Joy or sunny hill? I don't suggest Lakewood, rosewood, or meadow Brook. Alden is ok but always understaffed and they are over worked as is Harbor Chase. (I've worked all of these places)

Sunnyhill is great! My grams is there and it’s wonderful! Staff is great, engaging and warm

@playbook43994 I’m in the same boat trying to fine the right place. Sunny hill has a wait list. ☹️

Stay on it! You never know when that call will come!

Marianjoy is not a LTC facility-it’s a rehab hospital that only keeps patients short term.

Holy Family Villa in Lemont/Palos has a few Medicaid beds. There’s usually a waitlist but it’s a beautiful facility

I would not suggest Rosewood, Sunnyhill, Joliet terrace, symphony of Joliet or Meadowbrook Manor.

Try Lemont Nursing and Rehabilitation center or Our Lady of Angels.

There is a local woman who helps you find care. Let me get her name. My husband works for Monarch Landing in Naperville and I see them recommended a lot in another local group.
