Question

I'm interested on thoughts of allergy shots. So I just started them but would just like to hear experiences. My allergies are pretty much everything outside except trees, mild to dogs and cats. No foods. Can anyone tell me your experience with them? Did you find them helpful? ( yes I understand these are not Drs answering. I just want to know if they really helped)

I’ve done them for probably the last 10 years or so. I quit for maybe 2-3 years when my health insurance had a crazy high deductible and I couldn’t afford it. I could not wait to go back on them. I’ve been getting them now for maybe 5ish years and they’ve been a complete life saver. I’m allergic to absolutely everything under the sun and I’m now just doing monthly maintenance immunotherapy and it’s completely worth it IMO.

My 9 year old started the drops (under your tongue vs injections) her allergies have gotta better over the last 18 months shes been on them. She goes back every 3 months for a mold check and yearly for the others (trees, animals, etc). Id recommend it to anyone with outdoor allergies. She was soo miserable as a little kid. From march -november with coughing and allergy symptoms. Shes on daily clartin and flonase also.

My daughter has horrible allergies and we get shots every week. The doc said it could take as long as 5 years to feel relief. So we are hoping she will feel better seeing as though she plays softball sand we are outside a lot. Here is who we use.

My son has been on them for 5 years. Huge difference!
