Has anyone had the top layer of their asphalt driveway removed and repaved with fresh asphalt? If so, who did you use? Thanks in advance

Ours was paved over by Power Paving out of Plainfield. Much better - no more tripping on dips.

@barbarossa1 Anne paved over. I believe it was minimally roughing up the top layer.

Guardian Seal Coating in Aurora. It did look amazing but it did crack again one year later.

@foster1807 did they remove the top layer of your existing driveway first or did they just pave a new layer over the existing?

It’s between 1700 and 2600 We did an overlay on our driveway. They did a good job except for there are a few areas that need to be addressed as there’s still “dips” in the driveway.

We had a quote of $1800 to top our current driveway off with a new 2-3inch layer. $2900 to rip it out, replace it and extend it 18 inches. We’ll likely end up ripping it out, replacing and extending it.
