The safe sleep groups say 8 weeks or when they start to show signs of rolling whichever comes first. For us, we our son was outgrowing his velcro swaddles around 8 weeks and starting to look like he could roll over. We did a week of 1 arm out, then a week of both arms out then to the sleep sack. It wasnt nearly as bad as I expected.

I leave room so she can get an arm out on her own. When she starts to roll I'll put her in a sleep sack.

As soon as they start showing signs of rolling you should stop. I went straight to sleep sack, it was a rough couple of nights but she made the transition quickly that way

I’m in the middle of transitioning mine! I am starting with one arm out, when I had both out she was still startling herself awake. My baby girl is probably still at the age to be swaddled but she is starting to roll on her sides and has actually slept better with one of her arms free!

My sons been in a sleep sack since 3 months maybe a little earlier because he did not really like being swaddled with his arm kept Down. He 5 months and love the sleep sack.

We swaddled until he could roll, and then we used a SwaddleMe WrapSack with arms out to transition to sleep sacks. Then he was in sleep sacks until 1 and 1/2.

My little is 10 months and still swaddles. I used a bigger blanket because that’s how he feels secure.

My 13 year would still swaddle. Now she just has a weighted blanket.  She was swaddle a long time. We just kept her arms out once she could move around more.

My 4 yo gets burrito up every night. I may need to invest in a weighted blanket

Very early on. Maybe 6 weeks? He liked to sprawl out.

At birth. My son would find a way to get his arms out of it so I never swaddled him. I used a sleep sack. And he sleeps 12 hours at night

I swear by Merlin’s magic sleep suit. I started that about 8 weeks and used it until baby can roll over.

The AAP says at first signs of rolling or 8 weeks. Whichever comes first

4 months, when they moved into their cribs. Cold turkey! Transitional sacks, swaddles etc just prolong the torture in my opinion

We went to the Zipadee Zip. He can move around freely and he loves it. We are now on our second size after he loved the smaller size. He knows it is sleep time when we zip him up.

Around 8 weeks. Then we switched to sleep sacks til she was old enough for a regular blankie! (It wasn't a huge transition for her though because she only liked being swaddled with her arms out. )
