Does anyone have a recommendation for a supplement for dogs with skin allergies? My pup get meds but she is chewing her paws raw and her coat is in shambles :(

Jax n Daisy Shampoo really helps our dog’s coat as she has bad allergies we’re still trying to figure out. Paws are still an issue but it really helps cut down on itchiness to her body and gets rid of irritation.

We use a special shampoo, we got one from the vet and also have store bought and both work well

Just ordered this today. It had great reviews from people whose dogs have bad allergies.

My dog had bad skin too, I changed his food. I use pet smart brand foods. I mix 1/2 w/grain (Authority) with 1/2 NO grain Simply Nourish. Works wonders and he likes it. I use a cereal container to mix and store.

I wonder if those paw washers would help when they come in from going outside. Coconut oil in their food too and fish oil pills help with allergies. I use those for my foster dogs. The vet can prescribe medicated bath.

@steatite One of my fosters got an injection from the vet called apoquel and it works within a few hours and lasts a month. Maybe something you can ask about. I believe it might come in pill form too.

This year the pollen it seems is totally out of control. I have a dog that has never in the past 8 year's ever shown any allergic symptoms suddenly taken to excessively licking her feet. Wiping her feet and body with a washcloth and water after coming in from outside seems to help tremendously.

We took our dog completely off chicken no treats. He's on a lamb food that's not that expensive I think it's through taste of the wild. We get organic skinless beef hot dogs and give him a treat like that because almost all treats have some type of chicken base in them even though they say chicken free

@pigling yes, my pit has terrible allergies so we switched to feather free, grain free food and it’s been helping
