Question

Check engine light came on in our car. Any places you can recommend that are reliable, honest, and affordable? We've been burned 3x over at one place with this check engine light, so we're looking for a place that can solve the issue at an affordable price.

I had the same problem. I finally took it to Plainfield auto. On rte 59th. They are local and a family owned plus they are very honest and try to work with you on price. They fixed my problem finally after almost 8 months of trying to get it fix. With others to no success and thousands down the drain.

Also a family local shop, the hubs and I. also my brother has been helping out to help support his family since so many people are out of work because of Covid!

Sometimes the check engine light comes on if the gas cap is not on proper or turned tight enough. Auto zone can test free for code to tell what the problem is.
