Question

Meijer pickup- is it really better than Shipt delivery for a Shipt member, or not? Has anyone here who had Shipt membership switched to instacart and is happier with it? I used meijer pickup for the first time, but I don’t understand why some things I bought based on sale price for 5 for $5 ($1 each), confirmed in my original order, came out in the final order as 1. 69 each for one set of 5 and 1. 49 for the other, so I lost about $6. Anyone have the same issue and been able to dispute it or fix it for a subsequent order? I still paid the $4. 95 fee. Is there a way through Meijer pickup website to get the fee waived, or do I have to instead do Shipt Pickup with inflated Shipt prices? Seems like if you’re doing an order for 15+ items, meijer pickup is the way to go, but for a smaller order, then Shipt inflated prices is the way to go?

I won’t use it again. Agreed on pick up time, I got there on time, they had me sitting in my car for an HOUR with my 4 kids. I almost cancelled my order. She said sorry for the delay but the people ahead of me had a big order. I still tipped since she did the work, but won’t do it again. I got home and things were missing too! I think she left a bag in the store. I’ve been doing peter rubi for produce pick up, and then target/Walmart for other things. I like that it’s actual store pricing and not inflated. Jewel is my fave delivery- but right now it’s hard to get a time slot!

@livvie4945 oh wow! I made a pickup time for 7-8 am and the shopper texted me at 6:30 am saying she had started shopping and by 7 am was already done! I had to get there in a hurry.

Call the 877 number to talk to someone, and you will get a credit.

Instacart has inflated prices. I have been happy with my meijer pick ups. I recently have done jewel or Walmart pick up. I was very happy with my Walmart order.

@miquelmiquela I feel like if everywhere has either fee and/or inflated prices, might as well go with instacart for more store options and alcohol option ‍♀️

Meijer pick up is still through Shipt. It’s a shipt shopper doing your shopping, they are just not delivering it to your home. I would try calling the number and have them credit you back.

We love a Meijer pickup! Seems like we’re avoiding those inflated prices!

I do Wal mart pick up and delivery. Last I knew, they don’t charge for PU because it’s Wal mart employees. It’s also not inflated prices.

I tried it once. The Shipt shopper was AMAZING! They’ve got their stuff together. Meijer on the other hand wasn’t as impressive. I placed my order at 10:00 pm for an 11:00-12:00 pickup the next day, and at least 15 items were out of stock. The shopper and I spent so much time texting about substitutions it alternates that it wasn’t worth the time for either of us. I purposely planned that time to get a rotisserie chicken, which doesn’t start until 11:00. The poor shopper had to wait a half hour to get that. I won’t be using Meijer pickup again. Just my experience though.

I'm actually a Shipt shopper and we do the shopping for Meijer pick-up as well as delivery orders. Pricing depends on which avenue you order through. But if there was a sale price confirmed with your order and was not on your final order, definitely contact them (whether you ordered through Meijer or Shipt) and they should give you a credit
